Everything you need to know about paying for AletCloud.
How do I pay?
You top up your AletCloud wallet in Ethiopian Birr through Chapa — telebirr, major Ethiopian banks and cards are supported. Usage is deducted from your balance as you go; there are no foreign-currency payments.
How does billing work — monthly or hourly?
Cloud VPS is billed hourly against the monthly price cap, so you only pay for the hours a server exists. App Hosting, Managed Databases and Domains are billed at the listed plan price.
Is there a free tier?
Yes. App Hosting includes one free Solo app per account, and Managed Databases include one free Solo database per account, free forever. VPS and domains are paid from the start.
What happens if my balance runs out?
We notify you before you run low. If the balance reaches zero your resources are suspended — not deleted — so you can top up and resume where you left off.
Can I resize or cancel anytime?
Yes. VPS plans can be resized up or down at any time, and you can delete any resource whenever you want — billing stops as soon as the resource is gone. There are no long-term contracts.
Do prices include VAT?
Listed prices are in ETB. Applicable taxes are shown on your invoice at checkout in line with Ethiopian tax regulations.
