AletCloud documentation
Guides and reference for building on Ethiopia's sovereign cloud.
Welcome to the AletCloud docs. AletCloud is Ethiopia's first 100% self-service cloud — launch servers, deploy apps, run databases, store objects and register domains on local infrastructure, priced in Birr. These docs walk you through getting started and every product, feature by feature.
What you can build
- Cloud VPS — Linux virtual servers with full root access.
- App Hosting — deploy straight from GitHub with managed builds and free TLS.
- Managed Databases — PostgreSQL, MySQL and MongoDB with backups.
- Object Storage — S3-compatible buckets for files, backups and media.
- Domains — register and manage domains with full DNS.
- AI Agents — let MCP-compatible agents deploy and manage your cloud.
New here?
Start with Getting started to create an account and open the console, then read the product docs — each one lists everything you can do, feature by feature.
Deploying an app?
Read How deploys work first. It explains the one rule that decides whether your app comes up: bind to 0.0.0.0 and read the PORT we give you. Most first-deploy problems are that rule, and the Troubleshooting page maps every symptom back to a cause.
Is everything running?
Live uptime for every AletCloud service, with incident history and scheduled maintenance, is published publicly. Check it before you debug — and subscribe to hear about an incident before you go looking for one.
